Vet Vision AI is a veterinary technology company that develops artificial intelligence powered systems using computer vision and camera technology to monitor animal behaviour and welfare in agricultural and veterinary environments. Our technology analyses animal behavioural patterns and environmental conditions to provide insights and alerts to veterinarians, farmers and other authorised users through dashboards, software platforms and related services.
This privacy notice also tells you about your privacy rights pursuant to Data Protection Laws such as the UK Data Protection Act 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the EU GDPR.
Vet Vision AI as a Data Controller
A “controller” is a person or organisation who alone or jointly determines the purposes for which and the way any personal data is or is likely to be processed. Unless we notify you otherwise, Vet Vision AI is the controller of your personal data for the purposes of this website and where we have direct interactions with you.
Vet Vision AI as a Data Processor
Typically, Vet Vision AI processes personal data on behalf of its customers when providing its monitoring and analytics platform. In these cases, Vet Vision AI acts as a processor and processes personal data only in accordance with the instructions of the relevant controller i.e. customer.
Use of Cameras in the Environment
Please note that cameras are used within the customer environment. As a result, individuals who enter areas where cameras are operating may be captured on video and detected by the system. The system processes visual information from these cameras to support the provision and operation of the customer services.

This privacy notice applies to the processing of personal data by us in connection with:
- Customers: Where we provide our services, software platform, monitoring systems or related products to you. This may include veterinarians, veterinary practices, farms, livestock managers, equine facilities, consultants and other organisations using our technology.
- Supplier: For the provision of products and services to us by suppliers or service providers.
- Website visitors: Anyone browsing our website or interacting with our content online.
Types of personal data
Personal data or personal information means any information about an individual from which that person can be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed. This is known as anonymised data. Anonymised data falls outside the scope of Data Protection Laws.

Use of Artificial Intelligence
Vet Vision AI uses artificial intelligence and computer vision technology as part of its services. Our systems analyse visual information captured by camera systems installed in agricultural and veterinary environments in order to monitor animal behaviour and welfare indicators. These systems analyse behavioural patterns. The purpose of this analysis is to provide insights, reporting and alerts to veterinarians, farmers and other authorised users to support animal welfare monitoring and management.
Our technology is designed to analyse animal behaviour and environmental conditions. The insights generated by our systems are intended to support decisionmaking and do not replace professional judgement.
We are committed to transparency and responsible use of artificial intelligence and take steps to ensure that the use of these technologies is consistent with applicable data protection laws.

Carrying out your data subject rights as a controller
You will not normally have to pay a fee to access your personal data or exercise your rights. However, we may charge a reasonable fee where a request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or excessive We may request specific information from you to confirm your identity before responding to a request. This is a security measure to ensure personal data is not disclosed to unauthorised persons.
We aim to respond to legitimate requests within one month, although this may take longer where requests are complex.

Carrying out your data subject rights as a processor
Where we process personal data on behalf of our customers as a data processor, we do so in accordance with their instructions. If you wish to exercise any of your data protection rights in relation to personal data processed through our services, you should contact the relevant customer (the data controller) directly.
If we receive a request relating to personal data that we process on behalf of a customer, we will normally forward the request to the relevant customer or direct you to them as they are responsible for responding to and managing such requests.
