Camera Guidance

Resolution

Standard 32MP image resolution / 1080P video resolution minimum

Battery Life

Minimum seven days

Timelapse Setting

Minimum one image per 10 minutes (most standard timelapse cameras can do significantly more)

Night vision

Infra-red night vision with longer ranges (30m/100ft) are recommended

Mount Type

Simple straps, clamps and magnets all work well and are often interchangeable

WiFi/Bluetooth Connection

Not essential, but can be helpful to ensure correct camera positioning

Memory

Standard 32GB SD card usually adequate unless recording large video files

Video Capture Format

Any standard video format - common ones include MP4, MOV, AVI

How Many Cameras Will I Need?

For optimal results, use as many cameras as needed to ensure full camera coverage of the entire group of animals being analysed (including outdoor loafing areas). When uploading footage, you'll be guided through drawing 'zones' for each camera. Zones can be stitched together for a single, comprehensive analysis, with no additional cost for multiple cameras.

*For a standard 100-cow rectangular cubicle shed 2-4 cameras are usually sufficient.

“Vet Vision AI has allowed us to identify increased lying times and cow comfort, as well as management factors that need addressing to improve these outputs.”

"Using Vet Vision AI, I've been able to monitor my horse's sleep and rest patterns, which led me to make changes that have greatly improved his rest. Knowing that my horse is now sleeping better means a lot to me."
